Popularity creates its own problems. Luckily we ordered ahead. It’s peak season and there are so many people waiting - some haven’t ordered and some have even walked out. The reality is that it doesn’t matter where you go, if you haven’t already called ahead or pre booked (or even if you have), you’re going to have to wait. Our order finally came (we were told 30 minutes but it was more like an hour) and it was worth it. Beef in black pepper. Spicy/salt and pepper squid. Honey chicken. Prawn crackers (hahaha). Chinese food cooked and served for Australian tastebuds. Generous servings. Good taste. Great value. Would recommend if you’re staying around Umina Beach and looking for Chinese food - just be prepared to wait.

The restaurant looks tired but the food is well cooked and flavourful, cooked differently to the Chinese we are normally used to but no complaints at all. At first we thought that the rice was overcooked due to the dark colour but full of flavour. Same with the curry dishes. I can see that this may put some people off but no complaints here. We will certainly be making a return visit.

My local and go to Aussienese restaurant. Great food and great value for your dollar. Say hello to Ray as he is a fantastic operator. This is a lunch special that was delicious and huge.

ordered rainbow steak a specialiast dish and was a bit disappointed but I am looking for a replacement restaraunt to my local ettalong store that closed - perhaps i was spoilt and can not find someone that does an authentic rainbow job they certainly did a big meal but need to invest in a hi top lid or bigger takeaway containers as mine had a rubber band holding the lid on and by the time i got home half had spilt into the bag was takeaway otherwise all was good with rice and spring rolls also was on time

We have only ever had take away. Staff are always friendly and helpful. I am a vegan and they always accommodate my particular requests. The rest of my family are meat and seafood lovers and are also very happy with the variety of menu choices
